Is Internet Marketing Your Ticket To Financial Freedom?

We 've heard all sorts of tales of ' Rags to Riches' told by Internet
marketing gurus,  'wannabes' and so-called 'losers', as  the Rich Jerk
refers to some. They all make it sound as though they have the magic
formula to get rich, they have cracked Google Adwords code, have
mastered all the adsense tricks. All you have to do is join this affiliate
program or try the latest software designed to make money while you
sleep. 'Yeah Right ...And pigs would fly'.

It is so easy to swallow the bait not because you totally believe what
you are being fed. Newcomers to the Internet are such easy targets
of this get rich quick syndrome, presumably because you are so fed up
of your day job that you are ready for any day job killer tactics  and
adwords miracle. You know that you have been had, and that your
situation is worse than that of a gambler, when you are ready to max out
your credit card because another guru has just come  to promise you that
his method is superior, he'll hold you by the hand and show you the
ropes. What makes it more convincing is that he comes with testimonies
from so many known faces in the Internet marketing industry, you would
be a fool not to yield to the next temptation.

When you have been around long enough, all the jigsaw about Internet
marketing and affiliate marketing will start  to fall into place. You will then
start to notice that Pareto Rule works everywhere and more so in this
industry, except that here the ratio isn't 80:20. It is barely 5-10%  of  
marketers that control 90 - 95% of  the wealth that is being made on
the Internet. They are not content with that ratio, and would device new
ways and means to squeeze out the remaining 5- 10% of the wealth from
the rest of us. So you'll see them offering testimonies for their fellow
guru's products, because they know that is a deposit in the bank (so to
speak) for when they have to promote a product and need testimonials. If
you think that this notion is far fetched, then start paying particular
attention to whose faces are regular in testimonials for new products
whether you consider the product to be good or thrash. Mind you,it is not
always the case because there are some genuine testimonies out there,
and you can read between the  lines as to the true opinion of the
testimonial provider..
The good news is that it is possible to make money online if :
  • you are willing to work hard to make money online
  • are prepared to go for the jugular and kill your day job or be killed
  • you are sensible with what affiliate programs you are a part of
  • you avoid all the 'noise' from established Internet marketers or
    affiliate marketers peddling their wares
  • you treat your Internet business as you would a brick & mortar
    business -
  • identify your business goal
  • identify your business finance source early in the game      
    as under-capitalization of your Internet business is more
    diabolical online than with a brick & mortar business
    where  you may have salvage inventory to survive on
  • get a 3-year business plan in place that would help to
    focus on what your market, market segment, product lines,
    product  items are - when you have done this, you don't
    have to worry    about not having your own products,
    because you do have a portfolio of products, as you would
    find out when you continue to visit this website for relevant
    content
  • a business plan helps you focus on your marketing plan,
    and on how to approach your program of choice at eye
    level, that is business-to-business (B-2-B), instead of
    appearing to be   begging for crumbs.
  • it makes a lot of sense to incorporate your company from   
    early in the game and to register with both an Attorney and
    an Accountant to look after  your affairs. This is most
    important because you do rake in a hell of a lot of expense
    during your early days on the Internet buying this, that
    Software and  attending this, that seminar and in most
    cases, not realising immediate financial returns. Sounds
    grim, but it is a fact of life. Your overhead costs at home
    include Internet broadband  fees, electricity, telephone,
    printing stationery, printing ink cartridges, credit card
    expense etc., which, if not captured timely may get out of
    hand, if not lost, long before you start to make money on
    the Internet. These costs can add up to horrendous sums
    that you may be able to defray against your tax liabilities.
    This is only possible if you keep tag of your financial
    records no matter how small the expense is.
  • Do not snigger at the thought of retaining a good Attorney
    as well as a savvy Accountant because what they would be
    saving  you in the long run would far out way the initial
    retainer fees. They shouldn't charge you any further if there
    is no great work done. It's reassuring to know that they are
    a phone call away and that  you can sleep better at night
    knowing that you are on the right side of the law and the
    tax man.
